Who We Are
Community Initiative for Development Uganda (CIDU) is a community centred organisation focusing on youth and women empowerment programs with emphasis on livelihoods & skills development, health promotion and agribusiness. CIDU was registered in 2018 as a community-based organization operating in Wakiso and surrounding districts. We work at the grassroots level to empower communities to live healthy lives and to overcome poverty so that they have the opportunity to reach their full potential and we encourage communities to be actively involved in the process.
Our Passion: Why we do what we do
Our efforts are geared towards making a contribution to ensuring that communities enjoy quality lives regarding their livelihoods and health to contribute. Our mission is to improve the livelihoods of communities through advocacy, evidence-driven communication initiatives and services. We envision a world in which people have access to basic services and rights to live productive lives.
